Movie reviews~*

This week i went to watch 3 movies. Dont get me wrong, the student card plus the lady's day plus selecting early bird movies gives me a good price for those tickets. [tickets are almost like children price for me~! hehehe xD] Plus, I get to chill out and forget the hectic I’m going thru wif my data. Haha ;p ok.. here are some reviews…

Bridge to Terrabithia ~A fantasy reality~
In this filem, I was hoping for something like chronicles of narnia but it turned me down. It wasn’t like that at all. It was about a boy,Jess from 6 grade (ya ka??) went thru his normal life until he met a new girl in school named Leslie. So this girl became his friend as she showed him how to view life differently and how to have fun. Also she showed him how to deal with his schoolmates [the bully of course] and his teacher. Actually, this film is just ordinary, what makes it extraordinary is just the graphic view of his imaginary kingdom,Terrabithia. “Close your eyes and open your mind” was the famous dialogue that caught my attention and actually reflecting the theme of this story. But overall, I was a bit disappointed as I was expecting something like harry potter or chronicles of narnia thingy. For those peeps who is expecting something like that [their ads was damn good la~], better not watch la~ by the way, Leslie died.

300 ~An inspiring story~
This is a war story. About a king with a lion’s heart.Taking place in an ancient time like the Kingdom of Heavens and Herculas. It’s about a king named King Leonidas rules his country, Sparta peacefully until a Parsian messenger brought a message from Prince XerXes asking the Spartians to obey him. But being a wise king with dignity, he refuse to obey XerXes and a war started. This number 300 stands for his number of men that fight to defend their country. What amaze me is, only 300 men are against thousands of soldiers lead by Prince XerXes. The war was about strategy,spirit and how the King of Sparta stand till his last breath fighting to free his country, as a free king [reasons for him to disobey the land’s rule]. But what I like most was his strategy and his strong spirit of never surrender. The king and his 300 men inspires the next generation of soldiers to fight against Prince XerXes but they didnt showed the next war as the next soldiers was almost 10,000 men. Overall, this movie was ok eventhough it’s not my type of movie. But graphic? Totally awesome~!

Mukhsin ~an ordinary story that is extraordinary~
Ah ha~! This movie is quite interesting. Very simple yet really effects me. There are not much of that background music but it was more to feel the emotions from the actors/actress itself. [what do you expect from Yasmin Hamid’s hands right?] not many dialogues but more to the body language. The movie reminds me of C.I.N.T.A. Almost like it. There are also elements of comedy in this story. Having Ayu, the lil girl as the mulut murai pembawa gossip just like her mother, she really spices up the movie. It’s about a first love story [more like a puppet love] between Orked and Mukhsin during their school holidays. This story took place in a kampong. Even the actors/actress didn’t put on their make up. Naturally kampong. Sometimes, we adults didn’t realize how those ‘first love’ experience really taught us the meaning of life. And that’s what I see in this movie. Kinda a sad ending between them but it did show me how to look forward, not back. And sometimes, the ending of today is just a new beginning of tomorrow. Since it was a malay movie which I don’t usually go for a movie [the only choice I had to pick when I went to watch them with my little sist] but since the message was clear and strong, so I think it was ok and much better than Bridge to Terrabethia.

Pencarian Wajah UPM~*

Oh lama betul tak update. Bukan apa.. takde menda sangat nak cerita. Maybe boleh lah aku nak kongsi sebijik cerita yg jadi kat aku hari nih….

Mood aku sengal sikit hari nih. Ntah kenapa aku join casting utk video and photoshoot. Hahaha~ ;p don’t get me wrong, takde manenye aku minat menda2 ni semua… ceritanya macam ni…

Adik aku ni memang suka bergaya. Tetiap hari aku kena layan dia dok berangan bergaya depan cermin. Sampai lah UPM buat casting utk ‘Pencarian Wajah-wajah UPM’. Syaratnya sesiapa yang fotogenik, boleh masuk lah. Dah tentu lah aku tak layak tapi bila aku terbaca iklan ni, terus aku terfikirkan adik aku. Aku tahu dia suka menda2 ni. Tambah pulak dia memang ada rupa sikit.. tapi sikit aje lah~ hehe ;p

Tiba pagi ni, dia kata dia tak nak masuk lak. Ah sudah~! Adik aku ni memang pemalu. Senang cerita, dia malu tapi mahu. Terpaksa lah aku ugut dia suruh masuk kalau tak dia akan kesal seumur hidup [hahaha ;p] walaupun dia tak nak ngaku tapi aku tahu dia nak. So terpksa lah aku daftar sama demi nak teman adik aku masuk audition tuh. Tak pasal2 dari fotoshoot, rupanya ada casting untuk video sekali. Haa.. tang ni baru lah aku teruja sikit sebab bab bercakap2 depan kamera ni aku no hal. [muahahaha ;p] tapi memikirkan ada sebijik jerawat tumbuh kat pipi aku nih, terus aku rasa kensel. Haihhh.. sah2 syarat utama nak masuk nih adalah muka yg fotogenik. Mana lah aku layak~! But what the heck lah, mmg niat asal aku ialah nak temankan adik aku join the casting. So, aku masuk aje lah. Hehehe ;p

Skrip untuk video cast aku tak hafal, adik aku hafal. Adik aku dah rancang gaya depan kamera, aku takde rancang apa. Adik aku suruh tengok dia bercakap2 mcm Norzie Pak Wan Chik, aku angguk2 geleng sajor. Aku memang syok aje tengok adik aku bersungguh ni. Satu menda aku sedar ialah, I’m totally sucks dalam bab menghafal~! Aku kena faham dulu teks tuh baru aku boleh hafal. Itu pun bila aku dah hafal, dialog aku cakap tak ikut langsung dalam skrip. Janji mesej dalam skrip tu sampai depan kamera. Sepanjang casting utk video dan gambar tu, aku banyak gelak2 aje. Senang citer, bak kata adik aku, aku banyak main2 je depan kamera. Hahaha ;p

Well, one thing adik aku tak tahu is, I let myself to be a little bit over. Jadi, dgn sikap aku yg ramah bermuka tebal dan tak kesah ni, aku bergaya suka-hati-aku-nak-duduk-macam-mana-depan kamera. Org berdiri tegak, aku berdiri senget. Org duduk bersila, aku duduk bersimpuh. Org duduk molek atas kerusi, aku duduk gaya mak datin. Saje bagi adik aku tengok so that dia ada konfiden nak buat betol2. Habis aku shooting, dia marah aku buat main2~ haha ;p So, having her to see me like that, she will feel that she can do better than me. She kept on looking at others and tells me that everybody is better than her. Same goes to the video cast. She kept on telling me that I will be selected for the video casting. She said I can talk [macam lah dia tak reti nak bercakap~] and have confident facing people [hello~ itu kamera, bukan org yg ramai2~] so I just just do it. Baca skrip masih lagi jeling2 text. Cakap depan kamera mcm cakap depan org. Memang tak bersungguh~ and I know by doing that, she feels that she can do better than me. [tetiba feeling kakak yg baik pulak~ hahaha ;p] And she did~! Dia hafal bersungguh2. Bergaya bersungguh2 depan kamera macam dia buat depan cermin. And she got those puji-pujian dari director video tuh. And that’s what matters to me. Puas dapat penuhi impian tersirat adik aku ni sebenarnyeh. As for me, aku gelak2 aje lah. Aku dah tua lah untuk menda2 ni semua. Just wishing all the best utk adik aku dan moga dia terpilih untuk menjadi duta korporat untuk UPM nanti.

Dan yg pastinye, adik aku takkan baca blog nih… katanya blogging ni untuk orang yang nak buang2 masa je~ ceh~ terus feeling nak sepak adik aku~!
